Assassin pre workout is a pre workout from Apollon Nutrition (previously under Anarchy Labs) that has become known for its aggressive stimulant profile. It contains 650 mg of caffeine from 2 sources, 800 mg of PEA from 2 sources and 300 mg DHMA among other ingredients. Assassin pre workout is for the stim junkies only.
There have been 7 versions of this pre workout since its inception. In the early days it had DMAA, then DMHA, then they removed DMHA in version 6. Now in version 7 it is back.
Many loved version 6 because it was the most aggressive pre workout on the market. But does it maintain that status?
Well in short, its not the strongest, craziest pre workout. It is now more balanced out. Make no mistake though, it is a great pre workout for stim junkies. This has made it into our strongest pre workout list.

Assassin Pre Workout v7 vs. v6
Some of the most significant differences between Assassin pre workout v7 and v6 are:

Our Experience with Assassin Pre Workout (v7)
Cut and dry this is a different animal from version 6. Its not super hardcore and aggressive experience anymore. Instead, this is a more well-balanced stim junky pre workout. In my opinion it is better. Apollon was smart to not continue to go in that “hard-hitting for the sake of being hard-hitting” direction.
That being said, Assassin v7 was solid, but not excellent. It does not exceed in one direction or the other.
Many other reviewers have said that Assassin v7 is more euphoric than v6. While this is true, but the euphoria isn’t astounding as you would think by looking at the label. They said it has 300 mg of DMHA, but I do not think it is the best quality or a high standardization of the ingredient. It’s not at the level of El Jefe pre workout, Smack pre workout, or Flame pre workout.
Assassin v6 was so popular because it was intense.
It rode that line very well.
Assassin v7 dials down the intensity quite a bit, which is fine, but I feel like it wasn’t replaced with anything else to help it truly stand out. Assassin v7 has some euphoria, but it’s not as notable as you would expect.
Assassin v7 just was a bit of a letdown for me. But thats not to say its bad or average. It is still a good pre workout experience many will enjoy.
I still use it here and there, but it doesn’t hold the special place that v6 did for me.
But this is the risk they take launching new versions every 1-2 years.

A level scoop of Assassin v7 weighs about 16.5 grams, which is 83% of the full 20 gram serving. So alittle short.
To get a full 20 gram serving, you’ll need to do a slightly rounded scoop.

Caffeine – 650 mg
If you like caffeine, you’ll love this new version of Assassin. Between the 450 mg of caffeine anhydrous and 200 mg of di-caffeine malate, a full scoop of Assassin contains 650 mg of caffeine.
That’s more than enough for even the most experienced pre workout enthusiast.
L-Citrulline – 4 g
4 grams of L-citrulline is an average dose for stimulant heavy pre workouts.
Beta Alanine – 3.5 g
If you like the tingles, then this will keep you happy. Beta Alanine can help with lactic acid buffering, aiding endurance exercises as well.
L-Tyrosine – 2 g
2 grams of L-Tyrosine is a great dose that helps offset the “crash” effect from a large caffeine dose (which Assassin certainly has). It can also aid in focus.
Agmatine – 1 g
Agmatine is often looked at as a pump ingredient, but there is not much data behind this.
Lion’s Mane – 1 g
Lion’s Mane (yamabushitake) is a relatively new nootropic on the scene, with some research supporting anti-anxiety, cognition boosting, and well-being effects.
B-Phenethylamine (PEA) – 500 mg
PEA can help inhibit the re-uptake of dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine, though this mechanism is not understood clearly. A full dose of Assassin contains 500 mg of PEA.
N-Phenethyl Dimethylamine (Eria Jarensis) – 300 mg
300 mg of Eria Jarensis is a very high dose. This is a feel-good ingredient.
Combined with the 600 mg of caffeine, the 300 mg of Eria Jarensis will be like attaching a rocket to your back, then throwing some gasoline on it for good measure.
Grape Seed Extract – 300 mg
Grape seed extract can help improve blood flow. 300 mg is a very solid dose.
Hordenine – 75 mg
Hordenine acts as a lipolytic agent and stimulant, triggering fat burning and stimulating the CNS.
AstraGin – 50 mg
This acts to increase the bioavailability of nutritional supplements. In other words, it helps you body absorb all the crazy stuff in Assassin.
Rauwolscine (Alpha Yohimbine) – 1.5 mg
Alpha Yohimbine, also known as “alpha yo,” is a love it or hate it stimulant. Some individuals are particularly sensitive to alpha yohimbe and avoid any pre workout with it outright.
