El Jefe Limited Edition Pre Workout is special annual launch ASC Supplement does. It is a spin off of the OG El Jefe Pre Workout, which is our favorite stim junkie pre workout. Generally speaking, it is similar to the original El Jefe but with additional stimulants and different pump ingredients. Just like with the OG, it is one of the absolute best without the jitters and anxiety. It doesn’t overdo it.
Now El Jefe Limited Edition still provides the best mood elevation experience out there, but it is more aggressive than the original. It wasn’t elevating to a point where I would feel jittery.
The pumps were also amazing. Probably the best a stim junky pre workout can provide, also similar as the Jefe OG.
The focus was really on point. It keeps you dialed in for hours. No distractions.
The pumps, mood elevation, energy and focus last for hours after your workout. The post workout buzz is amazing.
Overall, this does not disappoint from the high standards we have from ASC Supplements and it is really up there as one of the absolute best pre workouts out there.

Our Experience with El Jefe Limited Edition Pre Workout
El Jefe Pre Workout is our favorite high stim pre workout for its perfect balance of stims and pumps. This limited edition did not disappoint.
Now it does hit faster and harder, but still does not feel overwhelming. And the pumps are still stellar.
Of course we took the full two scoop serving. About 20 minutes in, you feel the tingles and energy surge, followed by an amazing flow of mood elevation. Probably the best part. So by 25 minutes energy, focus, and mood elevation were all apparent and in your face.
During the workout the energy, mood elevation and focus continued to stay strong. The sense of urgency and “anger” is a bit more stronger here than the original. I cruised through my workout and even did a few extra sets of accessories because I was feeling so good and focused.
The best part is the post workout buzz. There is no noticeable crash effect. Mood and energy hangs around for around 3 hours. Which for me is great because normally I drink an energy drink after taking a pre workout.
All in all, still one of the best pre workouts in its own right.

El Jefe Limited Edition pre workout comes in one flavor at the moment, being Snow Cones.
It was a great flavor but hopefully they come out with more flavors.
Some of these strong pre workouts have bad flavors but this one was great.
El Jefe Ingredient Label

Citrulline Malate (2:1) – 7 grams
Citrulline is one of the best-researched pre workout ingredients, consistently demonstrating increases in power and nitric oxide alongside decreases in fatigue.
When citrulline is bonded with malic acid it futher aids in athletic performance.
7 grams is a clinically effective dosage.
Beta Alanine – 4 grams
Beta alanine has consistently shown to support muscular endurance and can act as an a lactic acid buffer. Saturation of 180 grams (beta alanine) is required to reach to achieve these benefits, but 4 grams is in line with recommended dosages.
Betaine Anhydrous – 2.5 grams
Betaine Anhydrous is included in pre workouts to help with power output. It is an osmolyte, meaning it pulls water to the cells.
2.5 grams is within the range of recommended daily dietary supplementation on Examine.
Taurine – 2 grams
Taurine can aid in hydration, muscle pumps, and may act as a booster to anti-oxidant defense systems (Examine).
2 grams is a solid dosage of taurine to achieve any effects it has to offer.
VasoDrive AP – 508 mgs
VasoDrive AP is an ingredient that is said to improve arterial flexibility by increasing the production of endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS).
VasoDrive AP includes two tripeptides; the lactotripeptides Valyl-Prolyl-Proline (VPP) and Isoleucyl- Prolyl-Proline (IPP). Both of these are derived from the amino acids valine, proline, and isoleucine.
508mgs is a clinical dosage of VasoDrive AP.
DMAE Bitartrate (Prop Blend)
DMAE is for focus. This does hit another approach than Choline Bitartrate in the Original Jefe.
Caffeine Anhydrous (Prop Blend)
Caffeine anhydrous is the typical form of caffeine, well known for increasing energy, power, and focus.
Di Caffeine Malate (Prop Blend)
This is the “extended release” version of caffeine, which helps extend the effects of the pre workout and provide a smooth “come down” instead of a rapid drop in energy, which can occur with large doses of caffeine anhydrous.
Theobromine (Prop Blend)
Theobromine is a stimulant that is sort of a “caffeine light” ingredient.
Eria Jarensis Extract (Prop Blend)
Eria Jarensis (N-Phenethyl Dimethylamine), is a stimulant and neuromodulator on the Central Nervous System (CNS) and provides several mental effects including powerful focus, energy and an increase in mood.
Eria Jarensis Extract provides a variety of mood boosting and cognitive enhancing effects for the consumer. This is directly caused by its ability to increase noradrenaline and even dopamine concentrations in the body. When these hormones are increased in the body, the user will have a sense of alertness, focus and concentrated attention.
This ingredient is provides a sense of euphoria that is quite pleasing.
Juglans Regia Extract (Prop Blend)
Juglans Regia (the real DMHA) is a naturally occurring form of DMHA extracted from the bark of the English Walnut Tree. It is a powerful psychoactive mental stimulant that increases mental energy, focus and a powerful increase in mood.
Looking at it from a molecular level, it is similar to DMAA, known for boosting energy, focus, and mood.

Caffeine Citrate(Prop Blend)
You’ll get a bit quick onset with the limited edition of El Jefe.
Halostachine (Prop Blend)
Halostachine is an alkaloid that is structurally similar to β-PEA, which is a bit more commonly seen in pre workout supplements. It acts as a stimulant and can enhance focus and mood.
Citrus Aurantium (Prop Blend)
Citrus Aurantium is a stimulant that is often included in recent “nootropic” products
Nelumbo Nucifera (Prop Blend)
Nelumbo is thought to have similar mechanisms to ephedrine, which has led to usage as a fat burner.
Yohimbine HCL (Prop Blend)
Yohimbine HCL is structurally similar to alpha yohimbine, but a bit less potent. The potential benefits and side-effects are similar too: fat burning, stimulation, appetite suppression, sweating, and anxiety can results from ingestion of Yohimbine HCL.
Alpha Yohimbine (1.5 mg)
Alpha Yohimbine, also known as “alpha yo,” is a polarizing stimulant. Some individuals are particularly sensitive to alpha yohimbine and will always avoid any pre workout containing it. Common negative side effects can include anxiety, headaches, chills, sweating, frequent urination, and increased blood pressure.
Personally, I did not feel any of these negative side effects with El Jefe, so I don’t think the dosage of Alpha Yohimbine is too high. I have felt chills and some anxiety from high doses of Alpha Yo, so I am not immune to them, but El Jefe did not give me any of those side effects.
