Our Experience
We’ve taken Zeus for months now, and every time the effects were the same and strong. This is a consistent pre workout that delivers every time.
This is in my rotation out of hundreds of pre workouts.
Effects
Zeus’ main effects are focus, mood enhancements, and boatloads of energy.
Not even 5 minutes go by and you get the Beta Alanine tingles come in solid and last for a good 30 minutes. Not the strongest tingles but its up there, probably a 7 out of 10.
At the 20 minute mark, a sense of urgency comes over. This was followed by strong, smooth energy that lasted for at least 5-6 hours.
After 20 minutes of taking the product, a zoned-in type of focus came over me and lasted for the entire workout. If you want to get locked in at the gym, this is for you.
Now, this is not as strong focus as the strongest nootropic pre workout Smack but still very good. If focus is priority number 1, check out Smack.
The most apparent effect was the mood elevation, which came over me throughout my workout. Lasted afterwards for hours.
No negative side effects were noted.
Zeus Flavors
Zeus pre workout comes in four flavors: Gummy, Orange, Strawberry Lemonade and Peach Rings (NutriCartel exclusive).
We’ve tried all of them and they’re all really good. My personal preference is Peach Rings (Godly Peach) which is exclusive to NutriCartel.
Scoop Size
A full serving is 15.5 grams, is a level scoop. There are 28 servings per tub.
Zeus Pre Workout Ingredients
L-Citrulline Malate 2:1 – 6,000 mg
L-Citrulline Malate is one of the most common pre workout ingredients. It has extensive evidence supporting its effects on increasing nitric oxide production, power output, pumps, blood flow, and endurance.
Beta Alanine – 3,200 mg
Beta-alanine has been shown to support muscular endurance and can act as a lactic acid buffer.
However, beta-alanine requires regular intake to be effective, akin to creatine. Daily supplementation of beta-alanine is recommended, with a loading period of three to five weeks needed to be effective.
3 to 4 grams is the recommended daily dosage for beta-alanine. Zeus gives you the typical dose found in other pre workouts of 3.2 g, and the tingles are intense in this product.
Taurine – 2,000 mg
Taurine has many benefits in a pre workout. It is an osmolyte that can aid in blood flow, hydration, and boost energy (Examine).
Two grams is solid to achieve any effects it has to offer.
DMAE – 750 mg
DMAE is a choline molecule included in pre workouts to promote focus and feelings of well-being.
It has a different mechanism of action than other choline sources but in our experience
Caffeine Anhydrous – 400 mg
Well known for increasing energy, power, and focus, it’s the staple ingredient in all stim-based products.
Beta Phenethylamine – 350mg
Beta Phenylethylamine is a neurotransmitter that inhibits uptake and efflux (i.e., removal) of dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin levels (2008 study).
It is included here to increase your mood and motivation. This is partially responsible for euphoria.
Typical dosages range between 200 mg and upwards of 600 mg.
N-Phenethyl Dimethylamine Citrate – 250 mg
N-Phenethyl Dimethylamine Citrate is a stimulant that is commonly seen alongside DMHA in high stim pre workouts.
This ingredient is partially responsible for the euphoric experience this pre workout provides.
250 mg is a good dosage for this ingredient.
2-Aminoisoheptane – 200 mg
2-Aminoisoheptane is a stimulant, similar to DMAA, known for boosting energy, focus, and mood.
200 mg is a pretty standard dose; but like DMAA, its tough to get the legit experience in pre workouts that ‘claim’ to have it. You will definetly feel it here, which is a good thing!
Synephrine – 80 mg
Synephrine is a well-researched ingredient that has been shown to aid in weight loss.
80 mg of synephrine found in Zeus is a great dosage for fat-burning effects.
In the original version of Zeus (back in 2020), this ingredient was not here and was originally Hordenine at 50mg.
But even after the swap tis product still delivers the same result.
GABA – 50 mg
GABA is a neurotransmitter that is critical for regulating sedative actions in the brain and general relaxation. It also can enhance the metabolism of growth hormones.
GABA was also included in Dark Energy.
Its a weird addition in a pre workout but here we are. I do not think it adds much value to this experience.
